My dad used to work for the Coca-Cola bottling company. When I was a little girl, I thought Pepsi was a curse word. We weren't permitted to say Pepsi in our house.
Excellent photo. Don't we wish that was the price!
Darryl and Ruth : )
Oh yes… and remember "Pony Cokes". They have brought them back which is great. You know Pepsi is a 4-letter + 1 word, right? Karen Ladybug Creek
Oh – I love the oldness of the signage. And I only drink Coke (diet) myself..although my daughter-in-law is a Pepsi only kinda gal…we're still friends!;>) I have never heard of a Pony Coke? Hugs- Diana
Great picture! I love Coke memorabililia! (and Diet Coke!)
My computer keys are being nuts. I saw a huge metal coke sign in the shape of a coke bottle. It was in Liberty Maine on the side of a garage. One day it was gone. I stopped to ask where did it go. Charlie's Garage said, I sold it for $800.00 bucks. It was old and faded. Ya never know what turns them on.
Very neat sign. I'm a Pepsi girl myself!
XO, Jane
I love me some coke in the little glass bottles – even have my own private stash:)
I love it! And, remember my very first one back in the day which was exactly 5 cents! 🙂
Coca Cola… you got that right!
If only — my husband drinks it constantly.
I ADORE Coke. Classic Coke. I worship the stuff. Don't drink alot of it…but I do LOVE it! Nothing like it. It's the real thing.
Ha!
Not a cola girl, but I do like the Coca Cola design. And the bottles. And the adverts. And your photo. Just don't like the drink, whatever the brand 😉
I love how the sign looks through the window. Very cool.
Sadly I think I remember when Cokes were 5 cents! I also remember when penny candy was a penny! LOL!! Thanks for the stroll down memory lane!
Now that is vintage at its best! I miss the old Coke commercials with the song "I'd like to teach the world to sing…"
the best coke i ever had was in an unexpected oasis in the middle of the desert in morocco. it was a hot day, the kind of hot that you think will melt your brain. and suddenly, there was a man and a big cooler and the best coke ever. and i think it probably even was 5 cents…
