Bluebird of Happiness

Look who landed on the feeder outside my kitchen sink window this morning.  I’ll admit, I was grumbling about the mess in the sink.  (Dish washing is my least favorite chore.)  I looked up, and there he was.

Blue birds are my favorite of all the bird species. They don’t normally populate feeders, preferring berries and bugs along the edge of fields.  This little guy, in doing something out of the ordinary, seemed to be sending me a message.

 I’m listening.

  1. Oh he is just so cute! I love those little blue birds. At our last house we used to get Indigo buntings on their way north and they were just breathtaking to watch. They would be with us exactly 7 days each year and then gone. It was really weird. Hugs- Diana

  2. I love Bluebirds as well!

Funny about dishes; I don't enjoy doing them, at least that's what I think. And then, when I'm doing them, I enjoy the process. Like ironing. I HATE it, but when I'm actually ironing, I'm happy.

    I'm so weird!!

  3. Isn't there some saying about the bluebird of happiness finding you? I think it's your lucky day girl! We were gone for the weekend a couple weeks ago and when we got home a tiny bird (a sparrow I think) had flown in and couldn't find its way back out. It let me pick it up and I set it outside on the bird bath. Off it flew, so everything was a-okay. They are so tiny and perfect – amazing really.
