If you come here often
you may have caught a few posts here by my cousin
who was stationed in Afghanistan.
His posts are under the label “A Soldier’s Perspective”
on the left of this blog.
He arrived home tonight..safe…..
and his children were at the airport to greet him.
Welcome home, Dennis~
More to come….
thank you for sharing this moment with us. filled my heart. 🙂
That made me cry. I am sure that the guard in the booth was shedding a tear or two as well. Seeing that (likely on a daily basis) probably still evokes emotion in him. Thank you to your brother and his family for serving his country and helping the people of Afghanistan.
Welcome home indeed! Proud of you and appreciate your serving all of us here at home.
I'm crying, what a wonderful homecoming. Please thank him from me. I do appreciate what those guys and gals are doing to protect our freedoms!

Thank you, Karen.
Little or big girls running up to bear hug their dad coming home from war always, and I mean always, brings tears to my eyes. Cause I did the same thing when I was 13; my dad had finally come home from Vietnam. The longest year of my life.
Donna.
So glad he made it home safe Karen.
Thank you to all the service men and women who gave their life and sacrificed time with family and friends to fight in this ungodly act of war.
May humanity carry, ever so gently in the palm of it's hand and in it's hearts, those soldiers who came back wounded to the core. Your communities will take care of you, always.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
And to those families who's loved ones died on this day 11 years ago, you are in my heart and prayers.
Welcome home!!!!!! Thanks for always sharing with us and especially the best part! Coming home! Thank you for all you do!
Amen.
