Blooms & Green

What a difference a few weeks makes..
We’ve got blossoms on the fruit trees….
The pasture grass is rich and green…
The Phlox in my seaside real estate perennial garden is happy…

Onions are coming up…  The actual onion stays in the ground.
Once the greens start to fall over you know your onion is ready to harvest.
Our little greenhouse is loaded with baby vegetable plants..
and the roses and peonies outside are happy.
All those pots are full of dirt and ready for replanting of smaller seedlings on the right.
All are in need of thinning out so that the main plant can grow strong.
 Are you gardening this year?
Have you planted seeds or will you buy plants at the garden center?
Trying anything new this year?
I’ve got purple dragon carrots to plant and Italian Ice tomatoes on the way.
They’re white!!..

  1. Fun time of the year ! All that winter sitting around its like we're just ready to bust outside ! Have fun planting everything looks great ! Have a great and wonderful day and we can complain in 22 hrs lol !

  2. I only have 2 tomato plants, my first garden effort in many years. And both plants have little flowers so I am hopeful. I'm thinking of planting something else but haven't decided what I want.

  3. I have tomatoes, perennials and annuals planted and growing on. I have hardened off the tomatoes but we got SNOW in Kansas City metro area yesterday, so they are in again, and must start hardening off again tomorrow. Can't believe this weather!

  4. Still waiting for spring 🙂 The snow missed us- but its chilly! Next week maybe? Even the robins stand around shivering and wondering what the heck?

So glad to peek at your world- I notice how fresh everything looks and bright- beautiful!

  5. It sure looks pretty at your house. It's nice and green here after a few showers this week. We don't garden any more but sure love the beautiful trees and flowers here in Florida!

  6. I was afraid all this rain would wash away the wildflowers that somehow got planted in my yard.

    Everything around you is beautiful!!!!!

  7. Everything is looking wonderful! The only thing I have ever planted, is my a$$ in the chair. I had hoped it might be different when hubby retired, but it's not looking like it will any time soon.

  8. I personally haven't planted anything Karen, but my husband is putting in a few more dahlias at the cottage today. Due to our travel schedules, it is really difficult to even try to grow annuals…it seems we are always back and forth between here and the cottage or on the road. We invested a lot of money in annuals over the years, but it just doesn't make sense when we aren't around to properly take care of them. Your place looks AWESOME!!

  9. We still can't afford to put in our spa and back yard, so we've decided to plant a vegetable garden. We'll do raised beds and (hope) to grow tomato's, green and red peppers, pumpkins, green beans, and serano peppers. Our front garden is a wonder though. It's a beautiful courtyard garden full of bright flowers, a fountain and creeping fig up all the walls. It is reminiscent of an Irish garden. Hmmm – I wonder why?
