Those who are lucky enough to live by the water..
are lucky enough.
I have always been a lover of homes…
I enjoy seeing what other people do with their living spaces
…should have been a realtor.
Married a builder, next best thing perhaps.
Except for today…
when the man is on his third day of no carbs diet and he is
absolutely miserable charming to be around.
The house below is one I have drooled over for many years…
not far from here, down on the water in an unpretentious, family oriented town.
I can see myself living here, can’t you?
This is their view….
If I ever see a FOR SALE sign go up on this cottage…
i'd consider that larger than a cottage, but it is pretty!
Wow! I'm with you. Amazing location!
Good luck to your husband. (and you!) 🙂
Pam
You may have to beat me to the punch on this house… gosh… love it sooo much. We are considering moving north somewhere after David retires which will be in November of this year. Love the looks of your area, but will depend on whether he takes part time work for someone else or simply relies on his own consulting work. Time will tell… I do love the porch on that house!
Karen- I love that house! I am hoping we can find something like that in the next year or so. We are probably going to try to sell in the Spring and I want to stay on the water but just in a smaller house than we have now. Hmmmmm…let ME know!
BTW-I keep forgetting to tell you that I love you new header- xo Diana
You are going to wait for a for sail sign??
go get the info from public records.. you may get it for a song and dance,or past taxes. You never know until you ask.. or I push you.
I, too, love to look at houses. On vacations my favorite thing is to ride around and look at houses. This one is lovely and what a nice view! Nancy
I don't consider that a cottage, since it looks much larger than the house I live in. Beautiful place, love the porch! *drool
lord knows i could live there, too 🙂
xo
Yet another creepy coincidence between you and me … I love houses! Thought about real estate years ago, but the being-on-call-practically-24/7-with-late-weird-hours part of the job made me change my mind. I'd rather love houses from afar than work nights and weekends and be at the beck and call of demanding, irrational sellers.
That is a charming house.
I would love to live by the ocean one day too! What a lovely house and VIEW!!! Where is it located?
You know my love for houses and this one is great right by the water.
Karen, how truly gorgeous! I need a cottage!!
Very pretty, but I like your house better. We have a river house for sale here. 🙂
Tell the man he HAS to eat "some carbs" for heaven sake!
Oh,and you know, Karen, you'd make a spectacular interior designer; you definitely have the gift.
I think it is absolutely heavenly! If you don't buy it, I will!
The first picture, I'm like, "yeah, ok, not bad.." then the second picture.."wow".
Great spot.
Oh I hope you buy it and invite me and my sister and others to come to your house for a little get-together….then take us around the area so we can all take photos. See? I am helping you plan:-)
Hmmm, I'd take it!
I often think of giving up carbs, but I know without a doubt, I Love My Breads, muffins, cereal, pizza, etc.
ha
More power to him! I hope he succeeds for what ever reason he is doing it.
It isn't what I'd consider a cottage.
It's a beautiful home with ocean view and a boat… presumably in storage 🙂
I can definitely think of worse places to live. Charming house. Lovely spot. Yep, I'd be very tempted too 😉
Too funny Karen. My husband just walked in with my cup of coffee, saw your photo and said, "I'll take that house." Think I'll take him up on that.
Who wouldn't love to live there? The bottom floor looks like a fabulous place for a little antique shop for early American antiques, my favorite.
You sure live in a pretty part of the country. And fix that man a steak.
Sam
A cute little cottage… haha!
Hope you hubby is successful on his new diet without being too grumpy. 🙂
…I would move there in a heartbeat!
