Do you see what I see?

I’m halfway to the finish line with my newest project. These shoes are part of it and they represent something. I’m hoping it’s obvious when it’s done.  Does anyone see it yet?

Question:  When are two boys most likely to volunteer
 without being asked
to CLEAN something without protest and procrastination?

 Answer:
When it’s precisely two years before they’ll have their license,
the object to be cleaned has a loud exhaust system,
 four wheels and an ignition
and they get to pull it out into the driveway to do so.
Go figure.

  1. Great minds think alike!! Today must have been the day to feature cool old trucks, huh? Yours looks a lot like mine, just blue instead of red … and in better shape.

  2. Umm, don't see it yet, although the shoes have turned out so well. Yes, that is VERY boy like to clean the truck because they get to drive it to move it… good thinking! Awesome truck, btw 🙂

  3. The shoes are big so they can't be earrings. And they are heavy so they can't be bracelets…you've got me.

Food was always good to coerce my boys into doing something!

  4. The shoes are stunningly gorgeous! I had to laugh about the boys; I did the same thing as a young girl just to be able to drive a little. 🙂

  5. Hmmm.. I guess the meaning isn't apparent in the decoration of the shoes. A hint.. there are four of them. Do the beads on each or the color of them.. suggest something?

  6. Karen- That picture on your header is beautiful. A wonderful photo! Love the boys and their washing job. Our oldest son used to roll our car down the drive and then start it up to pull it forward…several times a day! lol Hugs-Diana

  7. Well, each horseshoe has a bit of green in it, and some sort of beach element. I'd say they show you've got great creativity! They're so unique!

  8. Door knockers? Is that what you're making/ And I am in love with your truck…. that color of blue is perfection!

  9. Your horseshoes look great! Love your new header photo! And yes boys, trucks, and loud exhausts all go together. I can't tell you the number of youtube videos of trucks with loud exhaust systems I've been forced to watch by my son! 😉

    Kat 🙂

  10. Spring- bottom left (bird)
    summer-bottom right ( shells)
    winter- top left- ( ice)
Fall- top right, because its the only one left.

  11. I love all the shoes Karen! They are just beautiful!!! I'm partial to my purple!!!

    I can't figure it out…

Great idea to get the boys to wash the truck!

  12. I think I'll go with the 4 seasons theme…not sure, but I am sure that I love your decorated horse shoes and I want one!
