Is it just me or do the sunsets seem to be more vibrant this year…
Is the Universe telling us something?
65 degrees today – January 7th.
Go figure.

I was just outside doing the same thing! By the way… did you realize there is a face in the second window photo? She looks sad and frail.
Beautiful pictures Karen! Our weather was warm yesterday then the 'slight chance' of a dusting of snow that they forecast for today brought 6". 🙂 Crazy weather!
Have a great day. Pam
Karen, there are two faces! Check your email.
Wow, y'all are the same temp as us.
Beautiful pictures! Thanks for sharing!
What a beautiful evening sky you've captured!!! Awesome pics! Ms. A is right, I see a face too!!!
i love the reflections you took in the windows.
Awesome and beautiful! Can you believe the temps? Go figure indeed. I don't see the face!! :((
Quite warm weather here today also… isn't this just the strangest January? We haven't had any snow this year or in December…. just flurries that were so light you could hardly see them and to me that does not qualify as snow. Lovely sunset shots!
I wore shorts when I walked Layla today :/ I hope that fire in the sky (which is beautiful) is not predictive of the kinds of summer we have ahead of us 🙁
Wow. You really have a great vantage point, Karen! Our trees surround us and we can't see the sunset or the sunrise. Beautiful!!!!
That's crazy! It's 52 degrees here in Texas!
We had a beautiful sunset here in Kansas tonight, too, though a bit colder day, in the low forties. Your pictures were gorgeous!
These are some stunning shots, Karen. Love the reflections in the windows!
XO, Jane
Gorgeous photos. This is not our typical New England weather.
Beautiful sunset. I don't think it was that pretty here tonight in Missouri. We too have had 60's the past 2 days. You think we will pay for that later? I really need some snow scenes!!
Love the pictures. It's funny we were just talking about this the other day. I love the one that shows the reflection off the wiindows
It's global climate change and it's not a good thing.
But yes, the photos are pretty and the temperatures are delightful.
Stunning, I love the reflections in the windows. Awesome!
Hi Karen! Happy new year friend! It has been unseasonable warm here too! January 6th (yesterday), 60 degrees, and no snow yet! Unreal! (But I am not complaining!!!!)
Enjoy your weekend. xox a
Beautiful pictures, I really like the way you have captured the reflection of the sky in the windows. It is funny how they appear to show faces in the windows, but then look how clouds appear to make specific shapes. These beautiful pictures again prove the old adage, that the best things in life are free. Isn't nature wonderful.
Love the shots in the window. Your blog makes me want to learn to use my camera!
We are having such a mild spell right now, too. We've had a few chinooks—it's melting a lot of the snow. It'll make winter a lot shorter!
I too see the sad frail face in the window, with a face of a child to the right of that. or is it just me? The sunsets are crazy good, but I thought I was just taking better notice since my recent infatuation with a camera. Your today was awesome for sure.
We've had the same crazy January weather. I find winter sunsets to be more striking, just like the winter sunlight that pours into our house.
The weather is indeed strange…climate change?

Seeing these beautiful shots brings renewal of belief what a wonderful world it is.
LOVE these, and yes I see two in the window! 🙂
The skys have been stunning! I wanted my camera so bad the other night! Your photos are beautiful! I'll take the warm January, I'm not complaining – especially after last year!

Beautiful! I wish to God I could SEE the sunsets here..we have a wall of 80' oaks next to us on the west and even if he could afford to have some taken down, (close to $1000 a tree) they are about 10' for the woods in the park next to us..we are in shadow at 3pm here! (even in the summer when it is in shadow from about 5 or so on..once they are full leaved I need some SUN!
Yes, the sunsets are very vibrant lately. But maybe we are more observant. Nancy
Gorgeous sunset pictures. I have read that they get more vibrant when there are more pollutants in the world…doesn't that just figure? xo Diana
I see the sad woman and the child, but if you look at the window as a whole, the is a frightening face, almost skeletal, that takes up the whole lower half of the window. Yikes! High of 48 in Minnesota tomorrow, the 9th. Too strange.
Love how you captured the sun in the windows. Very creative. 🙂
Stunning! It is hard to believe that we didn't break a record this Sat with the temperature…seems it was in the 60's a few years ago too…I miss winter!
Oh my gosh, these sunset pictures are phenomenal. Truly beautiful.
