For those of you who have been following Chip’s story, he’s doing great… acting like the puppy that he is, still the wonderful loving disposition, and he has a coat now! He appears to be a lab/pit/shar pei mix, if you can imagine. Here he is with a rescue volunteer who came to visit him last week at Lorins house. He will be ready to go to his forever home very soon. If you live in Connecticut and know someone who would give him an excellent home (because he really deserves it!)… send me an e-mail at karenthisoldhouse@hotmail.com and we can arrange a visit.
And THESE dogs below… are from Dog Days in Branford.
Their new owners have been kind enough to send updates…
…all is well that ends well. π
This is Maple.. who has adjusted very nicely to her new digs…
Ella with her new coat and a big sister who adores her…
Jackson and Dawson and this wonderful couple who rescued TWO!
A picture says a thousand words.
Oh Karen, "Miss Ella" has brought much joy into our home…she really seems to be fitting right in… like snoring louder than the husband!!! Never thought that was possible! (LOL) It must be a boxer thing. I think it's great these dogs all look so happy!!!
Dogs rule!!
Chip looks so good!!!! And all the others with their new people. What lucky dogs and families:-)
Gives me goosebumps and warms my heart! Love all the good people that care for these wonderful pets. We have two we rescued and love them dearly.

How wonderful to hear Chip is almost ready for his forever home. What a sweetheart!!
He has hair! HE has hair!! How fabulous is THAT!!!
Your post has just given me the biggest smile. I wish we lived in the Northeast, I would be there in a heartbeat. Keep up the good work and keep letting us know when you need special help.
God bless 'em all…
That really warms my heart to see so much doggie love going around. I say this even after our own beloved pup chewed through the cord on the vacuum cleaner today π Luckily he is far too cute and cuddly to be mad at him and yep, it was our fault for leaving it in his path. Chip looks amazing and it is clear he is on the way to recovery!
thanks for sharing the wealth of good news and thanks to those who created it.
I have a great big smile going on too. I'm a total dog person. Couldn't be happier to see the beautiful people who have adopted these precious souls. You are so kind. Thanks for sharing these photos and making my day.
Chip is looking good. What wonderful folks to adopt those beautiful doggies! Love that last pic … it says so much!
…how easy it is to bring tears to my eyes! This sure did it!
Chip looks like an entirely different dog… in a good way!
These doggie-posts of yours always get me all teary eyed. And I'm so glad I don't live in Connecticut. He's irresistible. I'm so happy for all the rescued dogs and their people. Yippee! π
I can't believe the change in Chip. He has really grown and has fur!! Love the pictures the folks sent in with their new dogs. I can just feel the love.
THIS is a wonderful post. I'm so glad to hear these happy ending tails! Very, very heartwarming, and thanks so much for sharing them.
The updates are my favorites! So so wonderful to see the dogs again…this time with their loving families…you can actually see a much more relaxed look in their eyes π I love the one with Ella and her new coat :):)
So sweet!
32 dogs left Little Rock Animal Services (a kill shelter) yesterday headed up north–but I didn't catch where. 176 dogs also rescued this week from a Garland Co. puppy mill–saw it on the news and there were some adorable dogs- some looked like they might be Wheaten Terriers which are a favorite breed of mine. The news said they were mostly small breeds–if only people would stop trying to make $ breeding dogs indiscriminately. Wouldn't it be nice if cities and counties offered FREE sterilization instead of paying to euthanize homeless animals. The local kill shelter (pound)and volunteer humane society now employ veterinarians, but only recently and I'm sure rural areas can't afford one. The vet at the humane society has sterilized over 500 animals recently. That I think is the only solution to this huge and terribly sad problem.
Such touching pictures…. I could not manage not shedding tears…..
Do keep sending us such pictures of all these happy dogs and our best dog mate Chip ChΓ©ri !
I am allowed to cry while working π
Have a lovely day and weekend
Greetings from Switzerland

It is so heart warming to see these dogs and their new owners so happy together!!! LOVE this!!
So happy to see Chip this way — what a miracle (named Karen.)
If I lived closer… π
I had a HUGE smile on my face while reading this post!
I am very happy Chip is doing so well and how wonderful to see an update on the newly adopted dogs. The dogs and owners look so happy!
We got a puppy from a friend 6 years ago. They had gotten her at Walmart from some shady people. She was tiny, small enough to fall down the garbage disposal when I bathed her in the sink. Covered in fleas and scratching constantly, crying all night, huge belly.
We took her to our vet and she diagnosed worms, fleas and sarcoptic mange. She gave her Ivermectin and said it might kill her because she was so tiny.
She is now 6, half Corgi and half Jack Russell, 35 pounds and my princess.
After Molly we took in 3 more dogs.
My life is filled with dog hair and fluff from all of the murdered toys but I wouldn't change it!
