…can we dog people bring our canine companions down to walk the beaches.
The winter has been so mild, I’m taking advantage of every good walking day…
“It is an interesting biological fact that all of us have in our veins the exact same percentage of salt in our blood that exists in the ocean, and therefore, we have salt in our blood, in our sweat, in our tears.
We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea–whether it is to sail or to watch it–we are going back from whence we came.”
– John F. Kennedy
Love the pics. Everybody loves the ocean in some way. The most peacefully sound there is!! Wow Ben looks so big
Interesting. I know I'm drawn to it.

Ah, what a blessing it must be to live near that big expanse of blue. So many folks where I live have NEVER seen the ocean…and it's been so many years since I have, too.
I love your first photo of the big pooch!
I like your photos. We are connected to the ocean and there are lots of thoughts as to why. I like the quote you've included here.
I adore the ocean. It brings me to such a peaceful place. I love the new header look.
That quote is awesome! I may have to print it out and frame it for our new house in Minnesota. We should have been at the beach all winter long this year, but just have gotten busy. I told Jemma we were going to go at least once a week until the big move! Glad you got to spend time there with your four legger!
the first shot made me laugh. does this car make my butt look big? 🙂
I love the ocean. It's where I really relax.
So peaceful! I wish I lived near the ocean. I don't live near the ocean or the mountains for that matter. Only prairie as far as you can see.
Wow! That's so interesting. And what gorgeous pics!

I have never seen the ocean but it is on my "list" of things to do!!! I never knew that little tidbit either…very interesting!

Oh yeah, I totally agree…can hear the gentle lapping of those waves from here! 🙂 Your photos allow me to take a deep breath.
I love the beach and it's been way too long since I've been! (and it's only 50 miles away)
Beautiful photo's. 🙂
Never heard that quote, but I like it. A lot.
How lucky you are to take advantage of the beach and warm weather. I would love it!
Wonderful quote!
XO,
Jane
Love the photos and the quote. And look at that good puppy sitting nicely on his dog towel….
Love the ocean, can't wait to get to it tomorrow!!!
Also, that quote is my favorite Kennedy quote!
I am at the hem of the ocean tonight. We got here after dark so I am waiting for dawn's light to see it. I think I have sea water in my veins because the ocean keeps calling me home. xo Diana
Well, if you believe in Evolution, we all come from the fish 😉
I am missing the ocean something awful right now!!! Ben looks quite at home in the back of that Jeep! hahaha "Does this Jeep make my butt look big??" That Kennedy guy was a smart character! We often saw him while on my Uncle's boat…spent all my summers at the Cape!
Yikes! That is a romantic quote from JFK, but totally incorrect! Blood is 0.9% salt, the fluid used to replace it in the health care biz is called Normal Saline. Seawater is about 3.5% salt, give or take a little, more than three times as salty. That would not be "compatible with life" to be polite!
I've never seen the ocean in person, and prolly never will — so I am enjoying your photos so much, Karen. Looks like you and Ben had a wonderful walk. 🙂
So lovely!
I am always so envious! I really want to move in with y'all. Is this a problem? 🙂
Beautiful saying, adorable pup pic. Great post today as always. Blessings!
I didn't know JFK said that qoute. I am always drawn to the sea.
