Stuff I love

In my attempts to eat more healthy, organic food and feed my body with things that nourish instead of merely satisfying a fleeting craving… and paying for it later… I’ve come across some products that I really love and buy over and over again.  I’m not paid to endorse the stuff… I just really enjoy it.

The honey flavor is delicious! and lactose free for those trying to avoid it.

Mi-del makes a great gluten free ginger snap…
Going gluten free isn’t so hard when you can indulge in a treat like this.
Ayala Lavender Mint Water – sooo light and refreshing.
..and my favorite soap, Freckled Dragon by Herb Garden Naturals.
I buy it in my local Foodworks store…
but here’s a link.. it is DELICIOUSLY scented.
Mark my words, you’ll love it.

Do you have any new favorites
in your efforts to eat healthier?

  1. I'm the lone person out here still eating wheat, drinking milk and tap water. Lord I feel like a dinosaur… where can I buy the dragon soap???

  2. I was going to ask the same thing! Where did you buy the soap? Of course I would love to try the water, too! Thanks for sharing! I just did a post on some healthy choices. (thanks for your sweet comment) Now I need to try these, too! The no…or low sugar is my challenge!

  3. I could go for that in my freezer!

I won a box of Ocho organic candy bars on Facebook. They were divine. My favorite was chocolate peanut butter 🙂 Okay, so they weren't all that healthy, but they were organic, so no guilt there! 😉

  4. I've been a total yogurt freak the past 3 months since starting me 'eat differently' lifestyle. I haven't seen any yogurts in Kroger than say they are lactose free… perhaps I should look closer, although they probably don't have this particular brand. The flavors you show look WONDERFUL, Karen!

  5. I've been gluten free for a while ,the best cake I ever made was out of Garbanzo beans it was wonderful! They need stores to do taste samples I bet they would get more business. I do not like to spend big bucks on stuff that does not taste good.

  6. my gluten free diet starts in a few days….i feel the need to prep {shop} for it ahead of time.

i did the almost no wheat diet for a week, but it was hard as my favorite breakfast bar has wheat in it 🙁

and lactose….i would love to give it up as milk and i don't get along, but cheese and i are really good friends somehow….how does that work ??

ps…i love my soap, similar to yours, from whole foods

  7. I'm in love with "Coconut Manna" by Nutiva!!! It's such a healthy, yummy, creamy treat to spread on banana bread, for making smoothies or I like to dip my dark chocolate in it! You can also get it at Foodworks!

The lavender mint water sounds great! I've been trying to get in more daily water, that would sure make me want to drink more!

  8. I started eating a little bit of wheat again and now know I have to stop. Damn that wheat belly!
I really really want the soap. But the shipping costs more than the soap!

  9. I started going gluten free the beginning of March just to see if it would lessen my Fibromyalgia pain, and…IT HAS. I'm having no problem at all eating this way, But, it was my choice to try it. Only thing I've bought is a gluten free pizza crust that was very good. I don't dare try bread yet.

  10. I'm definitely going to try giving up wheat! I love the gluten free Crunchmaster crackers I buy at Sam's Club. I also love coconut milk and organic coconut oil. I am eating more raw nuts – almonds, cashews, pistachios, walnuts and pecans. Salty, dirty potato chips are my downfall! I love em! I'm trying to go light on the sugar and salt–using honey from my area. I'll have to see if our Whole Foods Market has any of the products you mentioned!

  11. I have been trying to eat healthier, too. Being a foodie it's very hard. Thanks for sharing some of your likes.
