My favorite breakfast place is in Deep River, CT. The coffee is always good, the owner is always pleasant, and the menu is original and delicious! It’s a tiny place, which only adds to the charm. In warm weather seasons you can sit outside in either the front or back yard. My husband jokes that he never sees me happier than when I’m sitting at the table enjoying my awesome cranberry walnut toast and Austin’s Wrangler Omelet. I sure hope that’s not true 🙂
I’m not paid for advertising on this site, so you know if I’m talking about it, it’s probably really good. If you live locally, try a summer Sunday morning at the Whistle Stop Cafe. Tell them I sent ya.
I would love to visit the Whistle Stop Cafe and tell 'em you sent me. That's my kind of place. Just one more reason to add New England to our list of places to re-visit.

Sounds awesome……..cranberry walnut toast….ooh.
Okay, this made me drool! Too bad it's so far.
I'm officially HUNGRY!!!!!!!
just love little places like that!
reminds me of a little place in Central Wisconsin called "The Kitchen Table". folks pile in and sit together at big kitchen tables if cozier seating is unavailable. the food never disappoints. the raspberry jam, to die for…
I'm all over the cute coffee mug! Do you have a set of them? Do they sell them? I'd love that place too… toast? Love toast.

I do believe the NEPTUNE on the menue is calling my name. Looks like a great little place.
Love little places like that! My aunt used to own a cafe in a tiny town, and she'd let me help when I was very young. People would come from miles away for her home cookin'. Precious memories. 🙂
I want to go!
Oh yeah, my kind of place totally! Your breakfast sounded delicious, I'd have chosen that one too!
You can keep the tourist traps here in Florida and give me a little cafe any time! They usually always have the best food and the friendliest staff.
I'd love to go there for breakfast! Maybe if enough people show up, you'll get a free breakfast! Ha!
Horseradish-my fave! Yum! We have the same taste buds 🙂
Thanks for yummy tour!
xo, misha
I don't sit outside around here in summer. Supposed to be 100 degrees here, tomorrow. Makes me long for a cooler climate!
Well, you know me and coffee- I can tell that is good just by looking at it!! lol…I can almost smell it, matter-of-fact!
Love the name of the place…it makes me think of Fried Green Tomatoes-the movie with Kathy Bates…which makes me think of Bates Motel….and well, let's quit right there, huh? Hugs- Diana
I know what you mean! We had a fave breakfast diner and went every Sat and Sun for years … then it just closed this year. We miss it so!!!
Looks so good–I love little cafes like that! Horseradish anything always appeals to me, although I never thought of it in an omelet–guess I will have to try it sometime!
Cranberry Walnut Toast…. Horseradish Cheddar!!!! We're always proud of our cooking here in Louisiana, but that sure beats my favorite breakfast spot!
Even the coffee looks good. Yum!
You had me with Cranberry Walnut toast and then you threw in Horseradish cheddar!! Oh my heart be still!!!
Would you please stop torturing me with all those delicious things that I can't get over here? Pretty please? We could do a house swap, you know. You guys could enjoy the beautiful weather over here and we could enjoy your beautiful house, gelato, breakfast at the Whistle Stop Cafe…
It's just a thought 😉
That mug! I'm with Di! I want one or four.
And I want breakfast there. Looks absolutely like a great place to breakfast. I love little homegrown places.
Um, yum. Wow.
I'll meet you there! Everything sounds wonderful! And what a beautiful smile she has! ♥
Sounds like a fabulous place, especially if they have fried green tomatoes!
