I just discovered a wonderful cooking blog through Sam at My Carolina Kitchen…. click the link below for a great pumpkin cheese ball recipe from Lake Lure Cottage Kitchen…
Easy to make too, I’m definitely using this recipe for fall entertaining.

After a Saturday of road tripping,
we had a lovely low-key Sunday complete with comfort food.
Mike made his sauce and meatballs… food for the Gods…
and I’m not embarassed to say his is better than mine.
I made Cheyenne’s pumpkin muffins…
see two posts below for recipe..
Have to tell you, they are THE BOMB, the best pumpkin muffins I’ve ever had.
Moist, delicious.. even Mike likes them and he doesn’t do pumpkin.
Happy Fall, Y’all!
I just wanted to say that. Now if only I could master the southern accent.
Sounds and looks yummy
Couldn't find the pumpkin muffins…just a little pumpkin named Cade.
Your hubs makes red sauce? Nummy!
I have been craving red sauce and meatballs very much. I make a damn good sauce since I was schooled by a real Italian boy back when.
Sounds like a perfect Sunday.
Perfect week-end you had! Sure enjoyed your photos from Vermont. Grey skies abound here so I haven't been out to get any pics lately. Need to do that before my photo files go empty. LOL
I thought the same thing when I saw this cheese ball on Penny's blog. Got to make this one.
As far as the southern accent goes, just keep saying y'all and you'll be fine. It's the southern version of you guys. BTW, the plural of y'all is all y'all 🙂

Hope you enjoy the cheese ball. You can flavor it any way you want. Thanks for the link.
yum indeed.
meatballs and sauce sound delish! the dip is cute.
We're in NC now…about 30 minutes from Lake Lure! Come on down, Karen and after you hang around me for awhile you will talk just like me! lol Sweet hugs!
And it looks SO CUTE, too!
i can sound southern instantly….i think it's from all the time i spent living in north carolina and on the kentucky border 🙂
The best part about colder weather is getting back to nice warm comfort foods like this!
…and that pumpkin ball is adorable:) Will have to check that out for Thanksgiving…
Happy FALL to ya'll too, bless your little pea pickin' hearts. 🙂
It's fall here today; had to put on flannels. 🙂
I LOVE pumpkin everything.
xoxo
Love her blog & have been following her for a while now! She's a fantastic cook!
I'll have to try these fall recipes soon! I've already made my first pumpkin pie of the season–light on the spice just the way I like it! To me a heavily spiced pumpkin anything is overpowering–especially the cloves and ginger. I use a tsp. cinnamon, a pinch of nutmeg and ginger and omit the cloves. I also add a tsp. of vanilla.
Didn't think I had a southern accent, but when "C" and I took a girls trip cruise several years ago, we were having coffee on the balcony and we heard a couple of southern belles from Alabama holler from the balcony below "Where are you girls from? We can you tell you are from the South too!" So I guess we do! Have you ever considered doing a video blog? I've seen a few. Not sure I have the nerve, but it might be fun!

Happy Fall, Darlin'
(that is what they say in North Carolina where my son lives)
