Finding Color on a Grey Day

Today was a very typical grey New England day…
..and I read somewhere that when you’re having a grey day,
go create something to chase the blues.
So I looked for different hues with my camera…
reds of old barns and greens of mosses…
white rushing waters and black and  brown cows.
Come take a ride to Devils Hopyard and Chapman Falls…
with a few stops in between…

  1. Very nice! Love the red barns. I have a red barn behind my house on the adjacent property…it makes me have peace. Years ago I had a little kitty who left every morning for the barn and came home like clock work every afternoon. We called it her office.

  2. Brrr. looks quite chilly. We are at 23 degrees right now… Fireplace is roaring! Glad you found some color out there!

  3. Well, you certainly know your way around a camera! Love the bridge and all those colors–and those red berries! Oooo and that barn–wish mine was done enough to paint that exact color! 🙂

  4. The grey skys are in the Carolinas too along with some blustry winds and MUCH cooler weather. Love pictures of countryside like you found. Old barns like those will be a real thing of the past soon. It's good to capture them when we see them.

  5. WHat a great idea, Kar. I have been whining ALL winter about the grey and dreary color I can't stand looking at. I want SNOW!!!HATE the grey landscape!!! Thanks for adding color to my life!
