The Nature of Color

Krippled Warrior wrote a good post today that pondered the “nature” of color and its great gift to us.  I’ve often thanked my lucky stars that I am only hearing impaired and not sight impaired. I am constantly aware of the beauty in things we so often take for granted…. things that don’t cost a cent to enjoy.

I captured yesterday’s swirling blue sky against the changing leaves…

    And this… epic fail.  *sigh*
Houston, we have a problem.

  1. Karen your photography is just so beautiful!! And your house looks so pretty with the colors of Fall showing now! Ohhhh and that Ben!! You're gonna need a taller fence!

  2. You are so right … most of the really good things in life are free! Subtle color changes that can go unnoticed each day, then suddenly Fall is here! Beautiful post.

  3. HA! Looks like someone is trying a new escape route from the yard??

Great shots of your house and the surroundings against the blue sky. The clouds really jump out at you when the photo is enlarged.

  4. Karen, your pictures are just stunning! I miss the colors of fall so much since moving from Michigan! I get to enjoy all the beauty through your pictures! Thank you!

  5. So gorgeous.

It's like that here in Minnesota as well. I live in the city, but the color is breathtaking all around. Even the ones that fall in my driveway.

Fall is my favorite time of year even though I know what's coming.

  6. Love the sky shots! So swirly with clouds and bright blue… beautiful. I am totally cracking up at the last one though… too funny.
