See you at the Fair

I can’t think of a better way to start the fall season in New England.  Within driving distance we’ve got everything from a MEGA -Fair, which draws Saturday Night Band Talent such as the Charlie Daniels Band and Leann Rimes… to small town fairs that have all the charm you’de expect.  The kids love hooking up with their friends and we get to eat all that sinful food.

There’s a certain elecricity in the air…the combined energy of good live music, the smell of woodsmoke and bar-b-q.. talent contests, agricultural exhibits and 4-H projects, the rides, the games, young lovers, families, gathering of friends old and new… it’s a love affair I’ll never outgrow.

His shirt said Ho Ho Ho.    I Believe.

  1. And now we know what Santa does on his days off (of which there are a lot!).
Looks like great fun. I'm intrigued by the small fries with the poached egg, which could be something totally different, but it looks like fries with a poached egg :-O

I've just prepared a post about a fair we've been to today.
We live in a parallel universe 😉

  2. You just can't beat a great fair. And Autumn is the perfect time. There's always a real good positive vibe at the fair, everyone is there for one reason,to have fun.
    Love that Ferris wheel photo.

  3. LOVELY! I adore faires! The goats are so cute! I would love to have many, but the big guy may have a say about that! 😉

  4. I LOVE fairs for all the reasons you describe!!! Your pictures are fantastic!!! I especially love the capture with the lights on and the ferris wheel in the background! Great Job Karen!!

  5. Oh girl!!! I just got home from driving 8 hours to go to my hometown fair!!! There is nothing in the world like it! I even met up with three of my best friends from childhood and college. So much fun!!!!

  6. Nothing as pretty as a ferris wheel lighting up the night sky, except perhaps that fruit sundae/parfait in your photo!
