One Step at a Time

The stairs in the family room heading up to the loft should be completed by today…

Uh…. Houston, we have a problem.
Snappy Di , the Blue Ridge Gal created this signature for me. I saw hers and complimented her on it
(OK,  I said “I WANT ONE!” ),  and within hours I had many of my own to choose from.  You see, that’s what I love about blogging… all the awesome people I have met, the friendship, sometimes the comiserating, the laughs, the creativity.    Thank you Diane –

  1. You are more than welcome. Oh, and I like the chunky post styles considering how large the room is. Just my two cents. 🙂

  2. Karen, I love your new sig and the house is moving right along! A friend of mine used two different antique newel posts for their stairs. It is such a hard decision trying to figure out what will look best, but you always pick beautiful stuff!

    Kat 🙂

  3. Is he trying to climb up via the chimney? Does he want to be Santa when he grows up? 😉

When we moved into our house, we needed new stairs. The old ones were rotten. We ordered three new spiral staircases, made from steel. We made a considerable downpayment. The manufacturer went bankrupt. Our money went with him. We had to order three new spiral staircases from a different manufacturer. And since the old ones had already been removed because they were dangerous, the first 6 weeks we lived in this house I had to go up to the bedroom via a ladder. So…
Your new stairs look beautiful. Have I mentioned I LOVE your house?
    Enjoy the weekend 😉

  4. Love the signature! There are some wonderful bloggers out there… one of them created my header. (I think you might know her, personally and I wish I did, too)

  5. Love the new sig Karen! And the steps will be beautiful when they are done…as is the rest of the house! It's been an exciting ride watching this whole thing come together!

  6. Because of you and Mike, Scott and I are talking about adding a man-den to the side of our house. Oh oh oh!

July 1? I am so excited.
