I watched this yesterday and was cheered all day long. Fantastic score! Fantastic voices!
One time I got to sing the Hallelujah Chorus (though I am not choral-y inclined). I play trombone and our ensemble was in the chancel as part of the worship, when the music director invited anyone who had sung the HC to come up front and sing the HC to end the service. Since I was there, I grabbed a part (and assumed my terrible voice would be covered up by those around me). I sang the tenor part because as a trombonist it seemed appropriate (plus, all the brass-playing men were singing tenor, and it is impossible for me to sing against the flow). It was so inspiring to be in the group!
Thanks for the hints about the photo. I did play with the size a little, so I think I could do some more. I'm okay with off-center, but it drives Davis bonkers.
I'm going to be in Boston (but with no car) for a few days in January while Walter attends a conference. Is there a train towards you and would it be a day trip?
Isn't that just wonderful! Never happens when I'm shopping either. All I get are crying children and shopping carts clipping the backs of heels. ugh.
I saw this on another site. Isn't that phenomenal? I would have loved to have been there. I think the crowd faces were the best-amazing! Hugs- Diana
This is just awesome! I wish this sort of spirit was around everyday of the year!
XO, Jane
Wonderful. Thanks for posting it. Never happens to me either but nice to know it could maybe.
It brought tears to my eyes! I would love to see this in person. Happy Holidays
I know, I know! So much fun and we don't have enough people up here to make up a choir! Only kidding…I'm with Di–go to the mall and only crying kids and teenagers…Brought tears to my eyes too! xo Cait
i think i've seen this…but off now to be cheered up again 🙂
I would love to have been there…what a gift those shoppers received!
The Hallelujah Chorus always makes me tear up:) and the sound in that mall was just made for choral pieces!
Seriously get a shiver watching it. Have to laugh at the woman who is on her cell phone and starts the singing… towards the end she is singing away and still has her cell phone up to her ear! Good stuff!
Oh! I totally burst into tears watching this. So joyous!
May I steal it?
I can't see it, but I know from the comments it's touching. Hope you're having a good day! 🙂
