Wicked

It’s hard to believe all the destruction in the past few years caused by natural disasters, so many wicked storms…. lives, homes, neighborhoods, families.. destroyed. I’m sending prayers and healing thoughts today to those affected by the storms and tornadoes out west. My sisters son, wife and new baby boy were in a closet in Arkansas last night waiting out a storm, I’m hoping all are OK today.

A few Dog Days pictures from this past weekend of  families with their adopted dogs below…

Do you remember Hank with the red bandana in my previous post?
Here he is with his new family. They came in the rain to meet him and fall in love.
This is Alexis and Tehran with their new family.
The mom on the right was crying tears of Joy when the bell rang signifying their adoption.
These two middle aged dogs were very bonded..
what an awesome thing to see them go home TOGETHER!
See the two volunteers in the background hugging?
We’re all suckers for these happy endings.
The tally was 69 of the 85 dogs in attendance were adopted.
The rest went into foster or back to rescue. None will die in a kill shelter.

  1. I'm teary here, thinking of those sweet dogs finding forever families … and the families finding their dogs. What a great event. Proud of you, and bless you for your participation (interviewing is a thankless, but totally necessary, part of the process.)

  2. Thanks for sharing…it's nice to hear/see some happy images! We are under the gun in Fort Worth today as the wicked storm system shifts south. Keep sharing the dog stories! So encouraging!

  3. Prayers to those suffering the wrath of Mother Nature. God bless them.

Nice to see more encouraging news, with doggies finding their forever homes! God bless them, too.

  4. We're living in scary times for sure. My hearts aches for all. I sure hope your nephew and his family are okay.

I love seeing the adoption photo's. Just watched a clip on TV where a lady found a dog under a lot of debris in Oklahoma. So glad he was found.

  5. Although I live in Australia, I was thinking of you and all the doggies last weekend, and hoping that it was a huge success. Thanks for the photos! You do a great job!

The news of the tornadoes is receiving a lot of coverage here. I feel especially for the families who have lost children.

  6. Oh I love these- its so evident that really good matches are made and that you all go the extra mile to ensure just that!
