Please Pass the Torch

Bernie Sanders needs to get off the stage- I don’t know how some democrats are missing the clear message that swinging too far left isn’t realistic and the middle class is fed up with the huge burden of overtaxation and will certainly not vote for an increase.

I liked him, then … but now is too late, Biden needs to pass the torch. Better yet, we need to light a new torch in politics all together. All across the board. Too bad no one in the Republican Party will challenge Trump.

Right now the field is wide open with plenty of players – Kamala Harris, Pete Buttejieg, – there’s common sense truthful politics and the kind of life experience brought to the table that can benefit us all, devoid of the prejudices of the past, which will sadly weigh down others like Warren.

     That’s my two cents.

On the homefront… K & D’s house begins to take shape… framing has begun!  Last night the Mr. and I walked the foundation and imagined the rooms, enjoyed the warm setting sun over the hill and how the light will play on their homestead.

And Speaking of K… she has recently joined our family business full time in the office and we’re so proud of her accomplishments and hard work.  Long time readers of my blog might remember her story – she is a car accident/brain injury survivor who has done the really hard work of getting her life back through years of determination through rehabilitative work, mostly of her own power and resilience.

You see that little pink unicorn on the desktop?   It used to sit on my desk – but I felt K needed a little mascot in her new position.  After all, I now have three dragons in the space that little pink guy used to occupy.  We could all use a little magic, a little whimsy, don’t you think?

You Go, Girl ❤

  1. So happy for your daughter and your family business that she has overcome and is working well… of course she needed a mascot.. her home looks lovely so far, can’t wait to watch it grow. I do not want to vote for Sanders or Biden or Trump and it scares me that it is close to coming to that…

  2. Hello, that is great news about your daughter joining the family business. I am really worried about the 2020 election, I just do not want Trump to win.. Enjoy your day, have a happy weekend!

  3. I am so happy for K and your family that she has been able to recover this well from such a traumatic injury. Our friends’ son was 19 when he crashed and sustained brain injury. He’s now well into his 30’s but still requires live in help. Although he grew up on horses, I don’t know if he’s been on one since the accident. Enough of my tales. I’m sure the kids are excited to see their new house taking shape. So many possibilities!

And I agree that it’s time for Biden and Sanders to pass to torch.

  4. I used to believe that if women could just rule the world…but after the past few years watching many women in government and the private sector sell out the world and it’s children beneath a rapist and demogogue or just blindly supporting the asshat I can no longer believe that.

I am worried – very much so

  5. I agree 100% with your political commentary.

It must be very satisfying to have the kids close, happy and secure.

  6. Very cool about K joining the business. That has to be wonderful for all of you. And yay, with the recovery of the head injury. That’s hard work and deserves celebration.

Yes, time for Bernie and Joe to move aside. I’m impressed with Kamala, Pete, Julian and maybe Warren although so far, she has lacked the warmth but is a great technician. And who knows how things will shake over the next months. I’m open but we have to win no matter who.

  7. I kind of feel like those ‘so called celebs’ who said they’d move away if T was elected, but hey they didn’t and neither will I. I made a huge mistake, but guess a lot more than I did also. We have to be open minded, and search within as to who to campaign for. The question is who is going to stand tall/tell their truths. Too much media just trying to get words on a page whether right or wrong. And, yes those two knuckleheads need to go!

So happy, so very happen for K. I know y’all have been rooting/praying/standing by for her, and all the hard work she’s done to accomplish so much since the accident. I wish them both well.
    xoxo
